What reviewers say

Visitors consistently praise the warm hospitality of hosts Wally and Nancy, and rave about Wally's delicious breakfasts. Some guests noted the Balcony room was in a separate building, and that there isn't much to do directly in Interlaken itself.

Listen, this place is great. If you’re on Lake Cayuga this is a great spot. The bed was the best sleep I’ve had in months. The breakfast was unlike and better than I could have imagined. The owner / cook is a chef (legit chef) for 20+ years. The breakfast we had was French toast infused with Brie or han/prosciutto. This was amazing paired. Owners are very personable. Thank you!!!! Must try!

Decided to stay in the area to enjoy the hiking for a quick weekend trip up from the city. Everything was wonderful. Nancy & Wally were lovely and kind hosts. Wally is an excellent cook and provided a sweet or savory option every morning and Nancy made a different breakfast bread option every morning and fresh fruit as well. Breakfast is served between 8 & 8:30. Coffee starts at 7. I stayed at the main house on the ground floor in the magnolia room with a private room entrance on the back patio. There was a small fully supplied guest kitchen right outside the room with a few snacks and beverage options accessible to all guests which was lovely. There is a small parking lot on the side of the property that was excellent. Gus the dog is so sweet. Wally had an excellent recommendation to a local waterfall that was absolutely worth the stop. I really can’t recommend this place enough for a charming and cozy stay in the area.

Our room was comfortable and clean. Basic, with just enough space. Wally's generous breakfast was fantastic and Nancy was an enjoyable host, as was Gus the lab. Wally and Nancy provided helpful suggestions for us to try to navigate Cornell's rainy graduation, even loaning us an umbrella. We appreciated their help and their suggestions for places to go on a very rainy weekend.
