About this place Hyatt Regency Milwaukee

The Hyatt Regency Milwaukee, at 333 West Kilbourn Avenue, is a big hotel with a practical location beside the Baird Center convention complex. It's listed as gay-friendly, but don't expect a specifically gay hotel. With nearly 4,000 reviews averaging 4.1, it's a solid choice. Theatres, museums, and the Fiserv Forum arena are all within walking distance. You'll find Milwaukee's gay bars in Walker's Point, about a 10-minute ride south of downtown. Conventions and Bucks games can fill the area and drive up rates, so it's a good idea to check the calendar before booking.

*** STAY AWAY *** - unfortunately have stayed here a few times and it has been great...UNTIL.....made a reservation on June 3rd for Nov 6 - checking out Nov 8 - was not disclosed that they would take the full deposit amount $777.60 immediately OR that this reservation was non refundable?....After I made the reservation I saw online a credit card opportunity with World Of Hyatt Chase card, great benefits etc. I applied for the card, received the card and made a second reservation @ Hyatt Regency MKE with that card so I could begin to earn points etc with the World Of Hyatt Chase card. Called to cancel the initial reservation, after 35 minutes (mostly on hold) I am told that the 1st reservation is actually non-refundable, and that they called the management and management is allowing them to refund 1 of the nights and cancel the entire reservation? I offered this: how about cancel the first night on the first reservation, keep the Saturday reservation, and Ill adjust my second reservation, they abruptly refused and stated that the management has reviewed the case and this is the best they can do. At this time I have a call in with management of the hotel, IF they can accommodate and make adjustments I will edit and or remove this review. I have stayed here in the past, zero issues, great experiences, I have referred this location to many friends and family members. People of HYATT make this right. ** In response to the response of Hyatt Regency MKE 6/19/26 ** As stated, I have not received any documentation, to include an email confirmation in regards to this reservation that would clearly state the rate rules, and cancellation policy? Your team "reviewed my request and approved an exception beyond the stated policy" The exception you approved was to refund me 1 nights stay and cancel the entire 2 night reservation, HOW is this beneficial for anyone other than Hyatt? I chose to attempt to spend MORE money with Hyatt by opening a credit card with plans to continue to stay at your location and other Hyatt locations to make the Hyatt my only choice of hotel stays. I got approved and am now attempting to use my card, and earn points with your company, however with how this has been handled I am definitely re-considering. At this time I am waiting for a call back from your hotel manager to see if we can come to a better agreement for both parties. Hey at least you responded and got to make it look as though you resolved a problem when in actuality you didn't do anything other than type words on a google review response. Thanks for trying?

Just arrived this morning @4am 6/19/26. The from desk manager was and is very nasty, I was trying to pay for parking. Not only did he not allow it or try to work with me , he didn’t allow me to talk, constantly talking over me with a very nasty tone.

The hotel needs to be updated. The furnishings show a lot of wear. The staff had great hospitality.
