What reviewers say

About this place The Heritage Darwin

The Heritage Darwin is a hotel at 84 Mitchell Street in Darwin's city centre. It is listed as gay-friendly, meaning a mainstream hotel, not a gay venue. It has few Google reviews, 38 averaging 4.2, so detail on rooms is thin. Mitchell Street is Darwin's main bar and backpacker strip, so the location is walkable but can be noisy late on weekends. The waterfront precinct and the Mindil Beach sunset market (dry season) are a short ride away. Ask for a quieter room if you sleep lightly, and check the website for current facilities.

Very new . Clean. Spacious. The concierge was excellent. He was so obliging and friendly. The front desk was supposed to close at 4pm, but he stayed open until we arrived about 4.20pm after I emailed him.

Presents nicely. Noisy, uncomfortable pillows. Good curtains and the queen was actually a queen, not just two singles pushed together. Still a good location with all of the city in walking distance. Overall: meh. With the pillows and noise, really glad I wasn't staying longer.

After two months of traveling in an off-road camper, this was just the thing to spend the last few days in Australia, great for getting the rental car ready and sorting our luggage… we had ground-floor access to the room, which made things much easier.

A beautiful place to stay with the most amazing hotel team. They are always willing to help with anything and are genuinely wonderful people. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!
