Tired of selling tickets. Tired of pushing gigs while the country is going to shit and the world feels like it’s coming apart. Tired of having to convince people that spaces for queer people and women matter. Tired of fighting systems that were never built with us in mind. Tired of having to work twice as hard to make something different happen.

But she determined.

Determined to keep trying to build dance floors where we can be ourselves. To put incredible artists in rooms where their expression matters. To make space for rage, tenderness, resistance, pleasure and everything in between. To keep learning, unlearning, getting things wrong, trying again, and finding people who believe things can be different.

Because art matters. Because these spaces matter. Because most times the dance floor is where she finds the strength to face everything waiting for her outside it.
