via Stay22About this place Winterfeldt Schokoladen
Winterfeldt Schokoladen, on Berlin's Pallasstraße, sells chocolate. But it’s not just a candy shop.
This place feels more like a library, with dark wood shelves and cabinets stacked not with books, but with chocolate from around the world. Think serious, artisanal stuff, a curated collection of cocoa you won't find at the corner store.
Head to the café in the back for a hot chocolate or a pastry from local Tim's. It's a good spot to sit for a while, especially if you're tired of walking. Just know it’s not cheap. You’re paying for quality and curation here, not a quick sugar fix.
The space itself has history, going back to 1892. It’s a quiet, refined corner in Berlin, and that sense of heritage comes through in everything they do. People have loved this shop for generations, and it’s easy to see why.

Delicious chocolate and cute mugs. Quaint, cozy atmosphere with friendly people 😊👍
We loved the little vegan chocolate cherry cake with a chocolate shell, and there was a great range of vegan chocolate bars to buy. They also were willing to make a oat milk hot chocolate with no sugar for my wife which she really enjoyed - great cocoa flavor. Friendly staff.
When will our favorite balsamic pralines finally be available again?!
Amazing hot chocolate and scones. Also very friendly and welcoming staff. Highly recommend visiting.
A lovely café with a huge variety of chocolates in different flavors. They also have loose chocolate. The little cakes are delicious too 😋.
We ordered a chai and a latte. Unfortunately, we had to wait 45 minutes for our two drinks. When they arrived, what a surprise! A matcha and a latte. Sadly, we hadn't ordered them, and they were undrinkable. With the very first sip, we could taste lumps of matcha powder. That's not how matcha is usually prepared and served. It's a shame, but the atmosphere was nice, and perhaps things will be better on other days.
