Schöneberg Shops
Most of Berlin's gay shops sit around Nollendorfplatz in Schöneberg. This area's been gay for over a century, and the shops show it: a proper bookshop, leather stores open for decades, and sex shops that don't pretend to be anything else.
Prinz Eisenherz, on Lietzenburger Strasse, is Germany's oldest gay bookshop. It opened in 1978 and is still going. Stock covers fiction, politics, history, plus a good selection of German-language LGBTQ+ titles you won't easily find elsewhere. Go in even if you don't buy anything.
Leather and Fetish
Schöneberg has a few leather shops, serving the city's active leather scene. Some are small and specific; others sell a broader range, including harnesses, boots, and gear from European makers. Berlin's leather scene is big enough that these shops are well-stocked and priced competitively compared to the same stuff in other cities.
Sex Shops
The Nollendorfplatz area has several sex shops that are upfront about what they sell and run professionally. They carry toys, poppers (legal in Germany), underwear, and accessories. Some are attached to cinemas. Nothing here needs explaining—Berlin is a liberal city, and the shops operate that way.

Schöneberg shops typically open Monday to Saturday, 11 am–8 pm or later. Sunday hours vary more. Some sex shops stay open until midnight. Berlin's general attitude toward this kind of retail is relaxed; none of these places feel like they're trying to hide from the street.
