New group exhibition 'Teratomorfosis' by Evripidis Sabatis + Bless Boy by George Ramos
About the event
Next Wednesday, October 7, we inaugurate a new group exhibition at barlafederica: illustrations from the collection “Teratomorfosis” by evripidis_sabatis and photographs from “Bless Boy” by georgexfoto.
ABOUT TERATOMORFOSIS
Teratomorphism is a medical and biological term referring to a transformation resulting in a monstrous, anomalous, or severely malformed shape.
Evripidis unleashes his pen, drawing his own aberrations spontaneously. Amidst corals, castles, tentacles, people, cetaceans, and a plethora of unsettling or friendly faces, they merge into impossible compositions. These chimeras, products of his subconscious, seek to create complicity and function as exorcisms against the evil that surrounds us.
ABOUT BLESS BOY
In BLESS BOY, nudity is an act of faith, and the male body stands as a temple of absolute devotion. This photographic project is a liturgy that exalts beauty, intimacy, and eroticism without any censorship. Through the unsettling power of a single garment grazing the skin, the work invites us to a sacred communion with our most primitive impulses. It is a profane ritual of strength and vulnerability; a visual offering to sanctify sex and consecrate ourselves to the freedom to desire. Deliver us from all guilt. Blessed be, BLESS BOY. Amen.
