About this place Archer Hotel Old Town Alexandria
Archer Hotel sits at 1600 King Street, the upper end of Old Town, about two blocks from the King St–Old Town Metro and Alexandria Union Station. Until July 2024 this building was the Kimpton Lorien Hotel & Spa; Archer took it over and renamed it, so older reviews and guides still use the Lorien name.
It is a mainstream boutique hotel, not an LGBTQ+ property. The location is the practical draw: the free King Street Trolley runs down to the waterfront, and Metro gets you to Freddie's Beach Bar in Arlington or the DC bars without a car.
