I have stayed at many hotels, but Mark is the best front desk guy I have ever dealt with, and is the main reason I keep coming back. Outstanding service, nice atmosphere, and overall great stay.
Mark, front desk clerk of Fairfield Inn was awesome! He helped accommodate us when we first arrived at a nearby Marriott Spring Hill suites to discover they don’t take pets (in app search it indicated it did) The first clerk at Springhill Suites was so sweet and helpful and called Fairfield Inn for us and just cancelled our original reservation. As far as comfort and overall accommodations, Fairfield was adequate for one night. I admit, I’m a fussy traveler and know others in my age category can be too. The building and the room, which was spacious was very clean; beautiful views of the mountains out the top floor window. The king bed could have been more comfortable and include a warm blanket instead of just thin sheets and bed cover. There was a small one in the closet for the sofa bed, I was cold all night. Updated air and heat unit and window opened slightly which I liked. Triple window treatment was really nice. Rugs on floor. Mini fridge and microwave. Breakfast was well below average for my taste; coffee was good but wasteful w plastic packaging. If staying in the area Harvest Restaurant Farm to Table 2 min away in plaza is a must go to place. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Several choices for Marriott stays in this are so you have choices, but this is only one I believe accepts pets. Hope this is helpful!
Check In = Perfect Room = Perfect Area = Amazing
Nice hotel and great location. The service issue is directly related to poor management. We booked a room here with points and while checking in issued a credit card for any incidentals. We didn't make any purchases while there but noticed a $53.00 charge on our credit card statement a week or so later. I phoned the hotel to see what it was for and was told that it was a pet fee. When I announced that we don't own a pet the person I spoke with said they would turn it over to the manager and that she would most likely reverse the charge. We checked a few days later and found that the charge was still there. I phoned a second time, and in almost an accusing manner the person I then spoke with said that we had a pet, and something about a record of it being in a logbook. They did indicate the manager would take care of it and that it may take a few days. After checking a week later the charge was still there. After 4 more calls with multiple messages and voice mails for the manager we heard absolutely nothing. All I kept hearing from the front desk people was that it was being taken care of. One of the people I did speak with sensing my frustration did acknowledge that we didn't have a pet since she wasn't able to locate a form in our name that pet owners are required to fill out. We were finally forced to file a dispute with the credit card company. It's really too bad because we did like the hotel but would never consider staying here again. This is a classic example of customer no service!
