Deaf Queer Kink Social
About the event
Deaf Kinksters NYC — A Deaf Queer Kink NYC event.
We're a NYC-based group for Deaf adults in the Queer community who want to hang out at gay bars. Our events are Deaf-centered, ASL-first spaces — a place to meet other Deaf Queer folks, socialize, and explore BDSM/kink-friendly topics and play in a safe, consensual, judgment-free environment.
Who this is for:
· Deaf and hard-of-hearing adults, but you're welcome to join us!
· Queer, trans, nonbinary, and questioning folks
· Kink-positive and kink-curious people
· ASL users and learners who can hold a conversation in ASL
Important:
ASL is the primary language here. If you don't know ASL, please attend a regular (Hearing) event instead — this space is specifically for Deaf communication and culture.
We keep talking/voice use minimal to preserve an accessible Deaf space.
Consent, respect, and confidentiality are required at all times.
Where:
Rockbar NYC (the bar)
When:
I will host the event on the second Wednesday of every month.
About the venue
Rockbar is a gay dive bar at 185 Christopher Street, at the Hudson River end of the West Village's main gay street. It draws a mostly male, often bearish crowd, with strong pours, themed nights such as underwear and jockstrap parties, and occasional drag…
