She will be joined by Sequins' Kelly Halloran (Goo Goo Dolls) and Kevin J. Killian (Katie Frank), where they will play songs from their just released album, Under My Canopy (out October 9th). O+ is a nonprofit healthcare access organization powered by communities who share the belief that healthcare is a community responsibility, and creativity is essential to collective health. It was founded by artists, doctors, dentists, and wellness practitioners who joined forces to acknowledge that art and medicine hold equal value in a community, and to forge a new system of equitable access to care. Rachael is honored to play the O+ Festival, saying: "As a cancer survivor as well as someone who has made it a point to integrate more holistic wellness practices into my self-care as a musician and an artist, I applaud the work that O+ is doing to make healthcare more accessible to artists." Rachael Sage & The Sequins are equal parts consummate musicianship, poetic lyricism, and infectious high energy. With a vocal style No Depression has described as "epically romantic," lead singer Sage and her longtime band enliven material spanning Americana, folk, and alternative genres. Having made a splash in recent years at festivals including SXSW and The Great Escape, and sharing stages with Judy Collins (with whom she sang an acclaimed duet), Rufus Wainwright, and Shawn Colvin, Rachael Sage and The Sequins bridge the earthy retro-sensibilities of '70s-era folk-rock with the ability to connect meaningfully with audiences of all ilks, always bringing the positive vibe and a musical reminder that we're all on this planet to lift each other up. With the new album Canopy out now, and the acoustic album Under My Canopy out in October, this band is on a mission to connect, entertain, and inspire.
