North Shores Beach

North Shores is Rehoboth Beach's second gay beach, on the stretch of sand north of town toward Cape Henlopen State Park. For decades it has been a lesbian and women's beach, and it now also draws couples and bears. It is quieter and more natural than Poodle Beach at the south end of the boardwalk, with dunes behind it and few facilities. The easiest public access is from the Gordons Pond area of Cape Henlopen, where the state park charges a vehicle entry fee in season. The houses directly behind the beach are a private community, so do not cut through. Bring water and shade, and take your rubbish with you.
