Opening night celebrating life, creativity and gender

Tuesday, 10 November 2026 · 5:30 PM Art Hole, Christchurch, New Zealand

About the event

Join us for a special opening night celebrating life, creativity and gender. As we approach Transgender Awareness Week (13-19 November), we are proud to present a powerful group exhibition showcasing the works of trans, nonbinary and gender-diverse artists from Waitaha Canterbury. Our full artist roster will be revealed next week - stay tuned! 👀

In the meantime, mark your calendar to grab a drink, view (and maybe buy!) some amazing art and spend some time with the rainbow community. 💜🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈

🎉 Opening night: Tuesday 10th November, 5.30-7PM
📌 Venue: Art Hole, 336 St Asaph Street
🖼️ Exhibition hours: Wednesday 11th - Saturday 14th, 10AM-4PM

Note: The artworks might include some adult, possibly triggering themes.

Beyond the opening night and throughout the rest of the week, our space will include materials for badges, collage, black out poetry, zines, and drawing. You're welcome to come and create in a space dedicated to lived experiences, or simply drop in to sit in quiet reflection.
