About this place GG (Grey Gymnastics Men’s Club)

GG is a gay sauna in Bangkok, in what used to be a two-story Thai house, for a mostly local, mature crowd. Think of it as a neighborhood spot. It's on Soi Ronnachai 1, and the house conversion makes it feel more personal than some of the bigger, commercial places. Most of the people here are Thai. Gay saunas in Bangkok are social places. You go to relax, hang out, and maybe meet someone without a lot of fuss. They generally have steam rooms, saunas, and other spots to get comfortable and talk. Locals and travelers use them to connect and get a feel for the local gay scene in a laid-back way. If you're looking for a traditional sauna experience and want to meet people from the community, especially an older, local crowd, this is it.

I enjoyed G Bangkok so much that I visited on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights during my stay in Bangkok. Friday and Saturday are by far the busiest nights, with a great atmosphere and a packed topless male dance floor. The other nights, including Sunday, are much quieter, which can be good if you prefer more space and shorter waits at the bar (and dance). The music is great and keeps the energy up, although the playlist can become repetitive after multiple visits. The staff were friendly and efficient throughout. My biggest complaint is that smoking seems common inside or around the venue despite the signage, and the smell of cigarette smoke and weed can become quite noticeable as the night goes on. Overall, one of the better nightlife spots in Bangkok. If you’re visiting for the first time, I’d definitely recommend Friday or Saturday for the full experience.

If you like tribal circuit dance music, it is the very most must-go for you. Normally open until 03:15 AM every night.

So many people smoking inside, including staff 😭. Horrible to breathe and stinks up your clothes. Ruined what would otherwise be an amazing club night. Hopefully they can enforce the decorative "no smoking" in the future.
