Herbal Knowledge of the Maroons

Discover on 'Day of the Maroons' how knowledge about herbs, the body and well-being has been passed down from generation to generation. During this tea tasting, you will taste herbal teas from Amba Nature and learn more about Maroon knowledge, tradition and its meaning today.
On October 10, the Suriname Museum will commemorate the Day of the Maroons with a special tea tasting in the museum café. In collaboration with Amba Nature Herbal Tea & More, visitors will be introduced to herbs and teas associated with Maroon knowledge about body, mind and well-being. The founder of Amba Nature will be present to talk more about the herbs used, traditional applications and how this knowledge is passed down today.
Price: Valid museum admission ticket + €10.00 for the tea.
