Floripa Pride 2026

Floripa Pride hits Florianópolis every October. About 100,000 people show up for the annual parade and festival. It's one of southern Brazil's biggest Pride events.

October's shoulder season: southern winter's over, summer tourist rush hasn't started. The weather's good then — warm enough to be outside, but without January's crushing heat and crowds.

The parade winds through downtown. It ends with a festival: multiple stages, live acts, drag queens. The whole thing's organized by Liga Pela Diversidade, with help from the city.

This isn't just a summer beach thing. The island's queer community makes itself seen year-round. If you can't make it for Praia Mole in summer, Floripa Pride's a good alternative. The island's beautiful in October, it’s a big deal for this part of Brazil, and you won’t fight for hotel rooms or taxis like you would in January.
