This work deserves the best. So do you.
Most people who write to us say some version of the same three things. They’re burnt out. They’re the only one in their community asking whether they’re doing enough for queer folks. And they’re not sure anything is actually changing.
Affirming Leaders Day is a day about three things: saying out loud that queer people belong, staying with people in crisis without losing yourself, and keeping some joy in the fight. And a day to stop carrying it by yourself.
Four sessions, including PIE in Practice with Pam Rocker – being Public, Intentional and Explicit, or as someone put it after last year's day, “a tone that centres belonging, not permission.” Plus Engaging Vulnerable Persons with Alpha House Calgary, and a session with Ben Dobyns on how joy gets organized.
Tiered admission: $15 / $35 / $60. Recording add-on available.
