<strong>FROM SINATRA TO ELTON</strong> <strong>Kyle Brody</strong> was born and raised in South Jersey in a house where music was always playing. His musical upbringing was steeped in the great piano-playing singer-songwriters—Billy Joel, Elton John, Barry Manilow, and Ben Folds—and from an early age, he was singing, playing, and performing wherever he could. He went on to attend New York University’s Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where he studied both mathematics and music. During his senior year, a friend took him to a dueling piano bar. Within a week of turning 21, Brody had found the career he wanted: “This is what I’m going to do when I graduate.” A few months after graduating, a trip to New Orleans turned into a job offer at a piano bar on Bourbon Street.
