Lorca in Sitges, Sitges to Lorca” 24/10/2026

On the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the assassination of Federico García Lorca and the 50th anniversary of the Prado Tribute, which will be celebrated next year, the LGBTIQ+ Memory Working Group of Colors Sitges Link presents a unique experience to rediscover the poet's footprint in our town.
Sitges was one of the places Lorca visited, accompanied by Salvador Dalí and other young Catalan poets linked to the magazine L’Amic de les Arts (1926–1929). Based on documents, photographs and testimonies, we have reconstructed his time in the town and the tributes that have been dedicated to him over the years.
The guided route covers emblematic spaces of Sitges that evoke his presence and his inspiration, and includes a 60-page color fanzine with texts, images and reflections on his relationship with Sitges, freedom and dissent.
