We came with my husband for a coffee that tasted like water, but they charged €4 a cup ☕️ and a hot chocolate for my son was €6… The bill for the three of us came to €14. The service was decent, but they really treated us like French tourists… We won't be going back 😌

A cozy night in the bustling city in a beautiful room with a view of the cathedral.

Spent a night in the center of Antwerp for a great price. Of course, not everything was perfect. But the most important things were good: clean rooms, very friendly staff, a fresh and generous breakfast, and the location couldn't be better. I see some negative reviews about this hotel, which I can't agree with. Yes, the mattress could be better, yes, it's an old and noisy building, yes, the guest toilet is opposite the first room, but hey, that's part of the whole experience of staying in a historic city center for this price. Feel free to have a few beers before bed; it really helps with a good night's sleep. And what I also found nice: on Saturdays, from 8 to 10, the city is busy erasing all traces of Friday. You can hear and see it. I don't find it disturbing; it shows that the city has its act together. I say, "Go to Antwerp and stay a night at this inn." How beautiful life can be.

Very noisy room, shouting all night. Dinner only until 6 pm and breakfast only from 9 am. If you don't want to sleep or eat, it's ideal!

Signed up through Social Deal - agreed, competitive price, so expectations must remain realistic. But even then, a single star is enough: I've never slept in such a creaking and squeaking bed. One deep breath and you'd have won the prize. View of the cathedral? Only if you're sitting on the terrace, because the window looks out onto the air conditioning ducts and kitchen extractor fan (resulting in the usual "odors"). Room size? Let me just say the bathroom door could be opened just wide enough to get through sideways. Shower quality? Definitely don't leave the tap running for more than a minute, because the drain can't handle it (it's clogged), and then everything overflows! Dinner included: 3 courses... with the only challenge being that the kitchen closes at 7 pm, as we were told upon arrival. Yes, at 7 pm. So, we were at the table before 6 p.m.... the quality of the food was just barely acceptable: a carpaccio that wasn't cold (which I briefly questioned whether it was wise to eat), followed by scampi that were not quite chewy, and finished off with a piece of cheesecake that had also seen better days. Breakfast? From 9 a.m.... pretty late, but hey, it's a day out. So, downstairs at 9 a.m. (like the other guests). Everything was locked up tight. No movement, no staff, no lights. At 9:15 a.m., someone strolled in leisurely, Albert Heijn shopping bag in hand. So, around 9:30 a.m., breakfast, which was okay. In conclusion: a competitive purchase price, but the result fell far short of expectations and isn't value for money. Better spend your social deal money elsewhere.
