An ancient Japanese legend says that when two people are destined for each other, an invisible red thread connects them from the day they are born. This thread cannot be broken, it connects people forever, whether they want it or not.
Alex and Bruno are not very similar. Alex is a bartender, Bruno an architect. Alex goes to two gyms, while Bruno watches old movies… these two meet by accident. The subsequent whirlwind of events that get out of hand for both of them will change their lives forever.
The play won three prestigious Catalan theater awards Butaca and has been performed in Spain, Chile, Greece, Italy, Peru, USA, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, etc. In 2022, Netflix made a popular comedy series Smiley based on the play.
