What is so "golden" about the Golden Girls... and how did it get its name? Renate B., the founder, laughs: "The TV series "Golden Girls" actually inspired me. The women in the series like to laugh and argue without being bitter and support each other when it matters. It's quite similar with our regular regulars' table." The regular regulars' table of the Golden Girls is very popular. Around 40 older lesbians are in the group. The oldest participant is 86. The women love the relaxed atmosphere and the warmth at the meetings. Every first Sunday of the month, the Golden Girls host a brunch at Rubensstraße 8-10 in 50676 Cologne.
