About this place Burgplatz Klappe (Altstadt)
The public conveniences around Burgplatz on the Altstadt riverfront are a historic "Klappe" (cottaging) spot in Düsseldorf's gay folklore, referenced in local guides over many years. It sits in a busy, well-trafficked tourist area by the Rhine. Same-sex activity is legal in Germany, but this is a public place where discretion and respect for others are essential.
