About the event

Reading and discussion
All Genders Welcome!
Two women search for their place in a world shaped by expectations of mothers and daughters. Wanting to Go, Needing to Stay is a political-poetic novel about lesbian motherhood, non-binary love, and the struggle for self-determination.
Sophie Herrndorf reads from her debut novel, which tells the stories of Toni and Chris.
Afterwards, we invite you to an interactively designed discussion. We want to reflect on the tension between care work and professional self-realization.
Drinks will be provided.
In cooperation with AWO Regenbogenfamilien, frauenberatungsstelle düsseldorf e.V.
