I booked a hotel in Frankfurt back in May. The day before yesterday, I arrived after a 10-hour flight in 40°C heat, at around 6 or 7 in the evening. When I checked in, the room they gave me was completely different from what I had booked online – tiny and with no air conditioning. I booked it for €68 in May, but the same room type was only about €40 online that day. I asked to cancel or change rooms. The boss said I could check out, but they would not refund my deposit or the room fee – which was basically forcing me to stay. I believe the owner is deceiving and cheating consumers. On top of that, when I pointed out that the room did not match my booking, they refused to refund me and their attitude was extremely rude. I was traveling with my four-year-old son, who was already exhausted. I was too tired to argue, so I had no choice but to stay. They gave me an old fan, which was extremely noisy and broke down in less than an hour. When I asked the front desk for a replacement, they told me all the fans were broken. With it being 40°C outside, the room was so hot I couldn't sleep. I had to open the window, but I was on the second floor – and right below was a restaurant and bar that was so loud that even with the windows closed, I still couldn't get any rest. The facilities were old and worn out. There wasn't even a drinking glass in the room. I have never felt so desperate and angry at a hotel in my entire life. The staff couldn't make any decisions or solve any problems.

It's a shame you can't give negative stars here! Absolutely the worst place I've ever experienced! Dirty, run-down, broken rooms and furniture. Plus, it reeks of smoke. The owner is extremely unfriendly and aggressive! I can only advise everyone: stay away from this "accommodation"!

The staff are the best. The rooms are a bit lacking, but I'm not asking for much for the price. The location is the only downside, but it's actually great because everything is nearby and there's a good atmosphere.

An absolute disaster! The room bore no resemblance whatsoever to the pictures on Booking.com. Everything was filthy and unhygienic. There were even traces of blood on the floor. The bathroom was broken and dirty; you couldn't even flush properly. The balcony door was also broken and almost fell off. The whole room stank. On top of that, the staff were unfriendly. I have truly never experienced such an unhygienic hotel. Definitely not recommended! We weren't expecting a 5-star hotel because we knew exactly what kind of area it was in, but to be so rude to them after we complained is outrageous. Hygiene should still be a top priority! I have no idea how this hotel got 3.5 stars, but keep your €80 to yourselves!!
