Spiaggia degli Alberoni lies at the southern tip of the Lido di Venezia, where the island meets the open Adriatic. The stretch behind the dunes, near the old military runway, is the lagoon's long-standing gay and naturist beach, with discreet cruising in the adjacent pinewood (pineta). It falls inside the WWF-protected Oasi Dune degli Alberoni nature reserve, so access is free but the dunes are patrolled and nesting areas fenced off. Reach it by vaporetto to the Lido, then ACTV bus B to the Alberoni terminus and a short walk through the trees. Busiest on summer weekend afternoons; discretion is expected.
