About the event
🏆 Congratulations to jovan_josifovski, winner of the DENES Award 2026!
We are especially glad that "Department for Anger Management", the work that was produced this year and part of the exhibition "ANARCHIC BODIES: consent not to be one" within the Skopje Pride Weekend, continues to live, develop, and open new paths in Jovan's artistic practice. 🖤
The jury recognizes a crucial moment of transformation in his practice in this work, assessing that the stay in New York comes at the right moment of his artistic development. With the award, Jovan receives a two-month residency at residencyunlimited in New York in 2027. ✨
We are very proud of Jovan and can't wait to see where this transformation takes him. 💫
Congratulations also to tay_tay_a_, who receives support for the realization of a solo exhibition in Skopje in 2027, and aiera.mokeget, who receives a one-month residency at the "Prostor" gallery in Split. Congratulations to all the finalists and to another generation of artists whose practices are worth following. 🫶
