Upon arrival, we were assured there would be no noise, as renovations would only take place after our departure. In fact, the opposite was true: there was noise throughout the day. The dirty, moldy room was easily overlooked. But the worst thing is the catastrophic customer service, if you can call it that. I sent an email, but didn't get a proper response. A standard email saying they had received it. Whenever I call, the phone hangs up in the middle of the conversation. The rudeness of it, nothing more.
The hotel is generally okay: clean, good location, friendly staff. However, the bed was an absolute disaster. The mattress was so soft that a restful sleep was impossible. In the end, I had no choice but to put the mattress topper on the floor and sleep on that. Anyone who needs a firm mattress should think carefully about this before booking. It's a shame, because everything else was fine – but a good night's sleep is crucial in a hotel, hence only 2 stars.
Nice central location. Outdated rooms. Average breakfast.
