"Limitless"
This chanson concert, titled "Limitless," is an omnibus of original short stories in the form of musicalized authorial poetry by the Slovenian theater and film actor, director, screenwriter, musician, and chansonnier Jure Ivanušič, arranged orchestrally by Leon Firšt.
It is an omnibus of short stories with a cinematic atmosphere, where intimate cabaret blends with rock energy and symphonic grandeur.
With the band Nordunk, with whom Ivanušič has collaborated since 1997 and which consists of Andrej and Gregor Antauer, Bojan Logar, Tomaž Marčič, Martin Rošer, and Simon Šimat, the chansonnier will present a kaleidoscope of themes concerning the modern individual – from hidden forms of everyday servitude and bluffing relationships to fake realities, conformism, social apathy, poverty, and banalized rebellion. With irony and satire, it has the character of mocking theater and is a carousel of the most diverse states – from fear of life to fear of a wasted life and one's own drowning in the ocean of prosaicness. The central thread is man's ability or inability to fight for inner integrity in a time of collective loss of orientation – and for that rare, but crucial thing: personal freedom.
