The title of the exhibition follows the question that a broad group of experts from various fields has been addressing for the past three years, who, under the direction of doc. Rok Žnidaršič, deputy mayor and city architect, and under the leadership of Mayor Zoran Janković, have been thinking about the future of our city.💡
Therefore, the quality of life is at the center of the vision of Ljubljana 2045. This is measured not only in numbers, square meters, and new buildings, but primarily in the feeling of safety, accessibility, connection, and belonging. It is measured in the shade of trees, the vibrancy of neighborhoods, in markets, streets, parks, and playgrounds – everywhere we meet and co-create the city.🏡
The vision therefore does not speak of a city that must be bigger, taller, or more densely populated, but of a city that is better to live in. Supermesto is a city tailored to people, connected with nature and community, open to new ideas, and proud of its character. A city where we feel at home and where no one is forgotten in its development.🤝
A walk through the exhibition in the Figovec Poster Gallery will take visitors through the key areas of Supermesto. Visitors can learn about the main projects in each area through visualizations and presentations, and view their placement on maps of Ljubljana.
