The exhibition title follows the question that a broad group of experts from various fields has been addressing for the past three years, thinking about the future of our city under the leadership of associate professor Rok Žnidaršič, deputy mayor and city architect, and the leadership of Mayor Zoran Janković.💡
Therefore, the focus of the vision for Ljubljana 2045 is quality of life. This is measured not only in numbers, square meters, and new buildings, but primarily in the feeling of safety, accessibility, connection, and belonging. It is measured in the shade of trees, the vibrancy of neighborhoods, markets, streets, parks, and playgrounds – everywhere we meet and co-create the city.🏡
The vision therefore does not speak of a city that needs to be bigger, taller, or more densely populated, but of a city that is better to live in. Supermesto is a city tailored to people, connected with nature and community, open to new ideas, and proud of its character. A city where we feel at home and where no one is forgotten in its development.🤝
A walk through the exhibition in the Figovec Poster Gallery will take visitors through the key areas of Supermesto. At each area, visitors can learn about the main projects through visualizations and presentations, and view their placement on maps of Ljubljana.
