When will you run out of glue? – Petra Hrovatin

A new exhibition is coming to Jalla Jalla. This time, Metelkova artist Petra Hrovatin presents her work 👏

The exhibition is a retrospective and remake of socially critical posters and magazine covers from the period 2009 – 2024.
It questions the struggles against discrimination in the last two decades and reflects on how social relations are changing when violence has exceeded all limits and is increasingly tolerated.
The opening poster "When will you run out of glue?" is the main theme and also an interactive poster that will address visitors during the exhibition opening, encouraging participation. The other posters are remakes of magazine covers that deal with various themes of social margins and their resistance movements. There will also be two film posters at the exhibition.
The author of the exhibition is Petra Hrovatin aka Periklea, whose graphic design work has accompanied her since her landscape architecture studies. She primarily focuses on visuals for performances and music events, and is also a musician, poet, and filmmaker.
