Concert – Alenka Marinič & Maja Dekleva Lapajne
Performance artists Alenka Marinič and Maja Dekleva Lapajne are co-creating the artistic trilogy Under Water, On Ground, In Air. In 2017, they entered the performance and music album Under Water, in 2023 they continued with the music performance On Ground. They plan the third part of the trilogy, In Air, for 2028. They also dream of an epilogue, Underground, which might be performed by only one of them or happen without their physical presence in this world.
On Water is a concert version of the trilogy. When songs from the underwater and on-ground opus meet, the saturated terrestrial concert On Water is created. A concert that processes themes of precarity, feminism, motherhood, friendship, work, fascism, and existence in late capitalism in a personal, moving, and humorous way. A concert that seeks playfulness even in the darkest and most difficult times and which, rather than offering solutions, leaves space for communal questioning and feeling on the water.
