The exhibition Wild Waters – in search of balance illuminates the complex and often contradictory nature of water, which is both a carrier of unstoppable force and harmony. As a fundamental natural resource, it is not unlimited, but primarily a common good that also raises questions of social and economic justice. Through various contemporary artistic practices, the exhibition explores the relationship between humans and water in the Anthropocene era, in which climate change is accelerating, and human impact on the environment can no longer be overlooked. This raises the question of how the disturbed balance between humans and nature can be restored at all.
Artists in the exhibition address life by the water, changes in ecosystems, vulnerability, and resilience.
