The novel "How to Play Chess in the Dark? – A Beginner's Guide," inspired by the author's experiences, is a portrait of the destructive ambition of the common man and the raw depravity of the world we turn a blind eye to so we can sleep peacefully for at least one more night, before we can no longer close our dead eyes. It is the story of an upstart who had everything but wanted more, which unintentionally landed him on a chessboard where figures are moved by people from the dark background, invisible to ordinary people. It is the story of a chess piece, a pawn from the periphery of the world, who wanted to escape the chessboard and become a grandmaster. But in the dark, he stumbled, leaving behind tears, suffering, disappointment, despair, death. The thriller will lead the reader through the labyrinths of Cairo, the avenues of Paris, the corruption of Brussels, the tragedy of Africa, and the heat of Istria, where the fates of the ambitious Tim, the gentle Nina, and the brutal Joburg will collide, weaving a suspenseful story with numerous twists and turns and mysteries.
