About the event

We invite you to cycle around Ilirska Bistrica to encourage everyday cycling. The emphasis is not on sports achievements, kilometers, or route difficulty, but on making the bicycle a natural choice for short trips: to town, for coffee, for ice cream, for errands, to school, work, the store, or for socializing.
We want to show that cycling is not necessarily associated with a lot of time, special equipment, or good physical condition, but can simply be a part of everyday life.
We will cycle around the town, feel its late afternoon pulse, stop for
100% natural ice cream from the Slavec farm at the Ideja bar, and
in front of the Ilirska Bistrica Health Center, where they will demonstrate the use of an AED defibrillator.
The event is organized by the Maksa Samsa Library Ilirska Bistrica and the Zeleni kras Regional Mobility Center.
The trip will be led by licensed cycling guide and well-known cycling promoter Robi Jenko.
Participation is free.
