Tuesday Meeting: Prevent Cardiovascular Diseases with More Movement – World Physiotherapy Day
About the event
The proportion of people with non-communicable diseases is rapidly increasing in the global population. The most common non-communicable diseases are cardiovascular diseases (which can cause heart attack and stroke), cancer, chronic lung diseases, and type 2 diabetes. Cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide, but like most non-communicable diseases, they can be prevented or their development delayed by managing behavioral and environmental risk factors.
As part of World Physiotherapy Day, experts from the Health Education Center of the Šmarje pri Jelšah Health Center invite you to a lecture where we will learn to recognize risk factors and receive advice on how to introduce lasting healthy lifestyle changes. Small changes in habits can significantly contribute to disease prevention.
After the lecture, we will have an exercise session adapted for cardiovascular patients in the gym of the Health Education Center Šmarje pri Jelšah.
You are welcome, admission is free.
