About the event
The University Library Maribor invites you to a professional workshop titled Artificial Intelligence in Research – Ethics, Copyright, GDPR, and Responsible Use, which will take place on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 9 AM in the Glazer Hall of the University Library Maribor.
The event is dedicated to addressing current legal, ethical, and copyright issues related to the use of artificial intelligence in the research environment.
Participants will learn about:
– ethical boundaries of using generative artificial intelligence in research work,
– challenges of copyright and open science,
– use of research data and publications in AI tools,
– responsible use of artificial intelligence in the academic environment,
– protection of personal and confidential data and compliance with GDPR.
The workshop will offer practical examples, current dilemmas, and recommendations for the responsible, transparent, and lawful use of artificial intelligence in research.
