About this place Saturdays Gran Canaria

Saturdays Gran Canaria is a gay dance club at C/ Presidente Alvear 69 bajos in Gran Canaria, Spain. Most gay nightlife on the island clusters down south around Maspalomas, but this spot plants itself directly in Las Palmas for gay and lesbian crowds who want a late night built purely around dancing. It runs as both a bar and club, drawing a mix of locals and visitors who come specifically to drink, socialize, and stay on the floor. It keeps things loud and direct. Expect a dance space meant for staying late rather than quiet conversation, plugged straight into the island's long-established reputation for LGBTQ+ nightlife. Check their Instagram (@saturdayslaspalmas) before heading out to pin down current hours and whatever party is on the calendar for that night.

I visited today, and what a disappointing surprise it was... that there was absolutely no possibility of a guided tour... despite being a group from an association. We had been informed beforehand, but I still have to say that I CAN'T BELIEVE that a place like this, so popular with locals and tourists alike, doesn't offer at least some guided tours on weekends! Furthermore, the included menu consisted of grilled chicken strips that were rather dry and served almost cold. I'm not just talking about "my personal taste"... several other diners commented on this. I hope this is constructive criticism for future visits. It's not enough that it's a spectacular place, which I've visited several times. I think "El Poema del Mar" could do better! Best regards 👋
