Subtle Bodies: Self-Reflection Through Aura Photography
À propos de l'événement
Once a season we will gather at the home of legendary lesbian photographer, Alice Austen, to sit for portraits made with the AuraCam6000, a specialized camera system that uses touch sensors to reveal radiant aura fields around the body. The physical readings from someone’s hands produce an image that is entirely unique to each individual.
As a group, we will discuss and interpret the colors present in our portraits, and what meaning they may hold in our current lives. Each workshop session will include time for self-reflective journaling and thoughtful writing prompts based on your latest aura portrait. Participants will have the opportunity to create their own journals through a guided book-making session during our first meeting. This workshop meets quarterly throughout 2026, led by AAH educator Kristen Bartley.
