Community Mural Art Project with Concrete Couch
About the event
Concrete Couch is a non-profit org who works with different communities to help facilitate, create, and build various skills in hopes to bring community together. Along the way they help to turn ideas into reality through the use of education, brainstorming, coordination, planning, and execution with local community members.
Prism and Concrete Couch are teaming up to create a community mural to honor local queer history, commemorate our resilience as a community, and celebrate the hope we have for a better tomorrow. We want to invite you, local community members and artists, to come to Prism Community Collective on November 19th from 12pm – 5pm to help us co-create a community mural! You will be helping paint a mural canvas with your style, lending to other styles and folks who will be painting alongside you. With guidance from Concrete Couch, we hope to make something that embodies who we are as the Colorado Springs LGBTQ+ community.
If you’re interested in joining us on 11/19, please fill out the form below!
New to Prism? Here’s what to expect:
Our doors are always locked for security purposes. We have an intercom at the door as first point of contact. Simply call “front office” from the touch screen.
Weapons are not allowed in space.
There is a preliminary security check at the door
We have an intake form we ask all new folks to fill out. Try to arrive a few minutes early to fill that out.
