Rainbow Alliance for Youth Edmonton Conference: Building a Resilient Network of Care

The Rainbow Alliance Conference is a one-day inter-agency conference designed to empower and equip social service providers, educators, healthcare workers, first responders, caregivers, and community members with the skills, knowledge, and community connections needed to better support 2SLGBTQIA+ youth and their families in Edmonton. When: Wednesday Oct. 7th, 2026. Time: 9am-5pm with scheduled breaks, refreshments, and hot catered lunch. What: professional development workshops and talks with scheduled breaks, refreshments, entertainment, and hot catered lunch. Where: Stanley Milner Library, downtown Edmonton. Conference Purpose: Build professional capacity, resilience, and evidence-informed practice for serving 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in complex systems. Intended Audience: Frontline youth workers, social workers, counselors, program managers, health professionals, nonprofit leaders. Why/Theme: "Building a Resilient Network of Care" Example of topics that may be explored: Trauma-informed & affirming care Anti-oppression, decolonization, & intersectionality 2SLGBTQIA+ mental health & substance use Trans, nonbinary, & Two-Spirit health and safety Youth, families, & caregivers Workplace inclusion & policy change Community care, burnout prevention, & sustainability Legal, advocacy, & systems navigation How: FREE, registration required.
