Craft Connection — Southern Arizona Senior Pride
О мероприятии
Bring your own portable craft project—knitting, beading, jewelry, sewing, embroidery, collage, model building, etc.—and work on it in a friendly, inspiring, and low-pressure setting. Engage with like-minded creatives and share or learn a new skill. All crafts and all levels of experience are welcome! Attendees are encouraged to bring supplies you no longer need and want to trade or donate to Tucson Creative Reuse. Street parking near Tucson Creative Reuse is free on Sundays.
About Tucson Creative Reuse:
Inspired by the movement of creative reuse stores across the country, this new hub for Tucson’s artists, crafters, educators, and environmentalists offers a wide variety of arts and crafts supplies at affordable prices. Feel free to check out the items in the shop before or after the Craft Connection.
About the Facilitators:
Lynne Gillette’s first major was art, but she somehow ended up with degrees and a career in Physics (minors in women’s studies and writing.) Since she retired a few years back she has been all about being a maker. Hanging out with others while making stuff is one of her favorite things.
Tina Howard is a fiber artist who identifies as craft expansive. She looks forward to creating in community. She is persuing a graduate degree in Art Therapy with an emphasis on Queer Grief.
Rose Swarts has been creating art her entire life, often letting her curiosity and whimsy guide her. She has studied a variety of artforms, including foundry arts, sculpture, beading, and more.
