Terrible experience! Rooms with only one electrical outlet; The elevator is terrifying (completely open with bars and a leak); The window air conditioner is above the headboard (worse than a jet engine); Breakfast was only served at 7:15 am (there was cake and bread that weren't fresh. How can it be 7:15 am and there are only 3 slices of cake available??? I think it was a last resort). Daily rate R$175.00. Extremely expensive for the quality offered. The towel they provide at reception looks dirty and smells bad and comes with a very poor quality soap. No mini-fridge. If you want any basic drinks, you have to pay when you order. Extremely rude. Noisy bed. I will not return.

On March 14th, 2026 we arrived in Recife into the “Hotel Central”. We were received by receptionist Vanessa only after waiting for about of half an hour after our arrival. She was very unkind about our accommodation and offered us a room for which we paid extra for air conditioning and a refrigerator. I'm sending you a video of our room number 401. Realizing that it was impossible to live in that room, we decided to spend the night and find an another hotel. We paid $280 for four days. However, another receptionist, Alexandra, heard our complaints and offered for us more comfortable options than room 401. Thank you, Alexandra, for her understanding and concern for the hotel's customers. I think that Vanessa acted not like the majority of Brazilians who are naturally hospitable.

Very poorly maintained. Located in the center but a bit out of the way, you have to walk a few blocks from the main avenue.

This is my second time here. The first time was for work, and since it was the only hotel in the area that issued the invoice upfront for the company to pay, I stayed there. But the facilities are terrible. The air conditioning is very noisy, there's no carpet in the bathroom, and when I asked for one, it was blacker than anything. The internet doesn't work at all. And the TV is very old, so we can't even watch a movie.

Pay attention to the evaluations. I made a mistake by not paying attention and fell into a trap.
