Athenas Bistrô

Athenas Bistrô is a bar and party venue on Avenida São Luís Rei de França in Turu, a long way from the old town. A 2022 local guide describes it as lesbian-owned, with live bands and forró, and O Imparcial has covered its LGBTQIA+ parties, including the Treta nights and Mix Brasil's Pink Party in 2019. It was expanded and air-conditioned in 2022. Its Instagram (@athenas_bistro, not @athenasbistro) is the busiest LGBTQ account in the city and was selling tickets for events in May 2026. Older listings say it opens Friday to Sunday. Check the Instagram for what's on and take an app ride; Turu is about 10 km from the Centro.
