Excellent place, both for the food and the atmosphere.

I loved this place. Inside, it looks like a wooden boat, and the service is excellent. There's also a patio where you can eat. I ordered Basque-style conger eel, which was delicious. It was a lovely surprise to see the waiters singing "Las Mañanitas" to the birthday celebrants with beautiful voices, complete with birdsong and a slice of cake with a candle. My least favorite part was the seafood empanadas they serve as an appetizer.

I went with family from Santiago. I hadn't been there in about four years, and this time I was somewhat disappointed. The service was good and friendly, but the portions were small and the prices were a bit high. I ordered an American-style platter that surprised me because of how small and limited the selection was compared to what it used to be. I've been going to this place for about 25 years, and this is the first time I felt the food wasn't up to par. I'm happy to pay if the quality and quantity are good, and I think they should review this. The conger eel stew was good, and the Spanish-style octopus was, again, a small portion. There was little variety in the desserts; only the caramelized apple stood out. They used to have papaya desserts as well. I hope they improve and their food returns to its former glory.
