We went to celebrate a birthday, and the place was a pleasant surprise. The service was excellent, everything was brought to the table very quickly, and the prices seemed very good for the quality of the food. The blood sausage and oxtail empanadas were 10/10.
Recommended for its authentic local flavor. Traditional dishes and national music. It feels like September all year round.
I'm doing this because of what I consider an outrage... A traditional Argentine afternoon tea (once criolla) that costs 13,000 pesos???? It only includes a mate gourd, a cheese empanada, a beef empanada, three sopaipillas, and three calzones rotos (a type of fried pastry)??? And if you prefer the mate to be made with milk, it goes up to 16,000 pesos. It's highway robbery. I'm very sorry about this because the food and service are very good, and the place is spotless. But Rincón Criollo, please help make this a favorite place, not a punishment. The beef in the beef empanada is ground, not steak. Anyway, I've gone on too long, but clearly, if I go back, I won't be ordering the delicious but exclusive "once criolla."
An ideal place to enjoy good Chilean food.
