The butter is exquisite!!! You gotta take some home. The salmon dish was perfectly balanced. So good. The Black Forest cake was amazing. Best I’ve ever had. The steak frites and chutney were great too. Really, every dish was so good. Ian, our server, was really attentive. He was engaging and fun and we appreciated his service.

Amazing food, service was excellent. Love the open kitchen vibe. The butter is amazing as well. Absolutely loved this place and will definitely make another visit back next time we are in Halifax.

We had a party of four with no reservations, we were quickly seated in the charming, cozy wall table. Ethan our server, came by to welcome us and take our drinks order. He also took the time to answer a few questions we had about the menu. The entire 2 hour meal Ethan was very helpful, the food was amazing, fresh fish, salmon and the steak frites was cooked to perfection (medium rare). We are staying at an air b and b just up the road. We all talked about what a great meal, atmosphere and great level of service we stumbled upon. Thanks again to Ethan, Leah and all the staff for a fabulous time. Cheers.

The food here is fabulous- the salmon was perfectly cooked. I was on my own, though. I was seated at a bar table behind a panel of glass that separated the single diners from the rest of the restaurant. All the diners in the main section had lights on their table but I was in the dark until I asked for one- an isolating experience - then the wrong dessert was served- for which I got a tiny discount. If you come here with friends it will be great- but as a single diner I felt awful. They need to make singles feel Far more welcome.

Agricola Street Brasserie was fantastic from start to finish. The food was absolutely amazing, the cocktails were thoughtfully crafted, and the wine selection was excellent. What really completed the experience, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely made us feel well taken care of throughout our visit. A special shoutout to Nate, Callan, and Anneika — thank you for being so wonderful and for helping make our visits so memorable! Wonderful food, great drinks, and even better hospitality. Agricola is definitely a place we’ll look forward to coming back to the next time we’re in Nova Scotia. ❤️🍷🍸

If you like duck, it is very good. I had steak frite and the shoe string fries were cold, over cooked and terrible. The steak was small, over cooked and dry. I asked for medium rare. Once served the waiter didn't come back around soon enough to ask how is everything. One person at our table had the burger and said it was the best burger she ever had. She did not eat her fries. It's also very noisy which makes it hard to communicate at your table.

Great happy hour drink specials, and snacks! Enjoy the roof top patios while the sun is shining. Never fails to impress, with great service, excellent food and very good value

Excellent food and ambiance. So glad we veered away from the touristy area for a meal. For apps, we had the shrimp provencal and oysters. Both excellent and very fresh. Our mains were the duck duo and the salmon. We ended up sharing plates because both were so good and had their own distinct flavour profiles. Everything was cooked to perfection and seasoned very well. Reasonably priced considering the high quality of the food.

when I saw the place in Google, I think that will be the best starting my trip here, but the actual wasn't like that . I was so disappointed. I eat red lobster all the time, but I've never had such a meatless red lobster in my life. The meat inside the red lobster was removed and cooked in another pan, and 5, maybe 10 grams of it was added. It definitely didn't look like the description on the menu. This was an extremely expensive price for the red lobstor you sold. Also, the waiter literally forces you to tip. late service and long wait. Also, how can you prepare a cocktail this late? I wish I didn't have to pay you $140. It's really a huge waste. [Update regarding the owner's response]: As a professional pastry chef and business owner, I am well-versed in the techniques of classic French cuisine, including Lobster Thermidor. My critique was not regarding the 'technique' of the dish, but rather the glaring lack of protein and the poor value for the $140 price point. The photo I posted speaks for itself: the shells are practically empty, leaving a guest to hunt for mere scraps of lobster meat with a fork. 'Removing the meat to toss it in sauce' is a standard procedure, but it is not an excuse to serve an under-portioned, meatless dish at such a premium price. Instead of hiding behind condescending remarks about what a 'real' Thermidor should look like, or making personal jabs at a guest's palate, it would be far more professional to acknowledge that the portion served did not match the price charged. As a business owner, I believe in taking feedback to improve, not in attacking customers who point out legitimate quality issues.

The pasta and salad were not too good, but the calamari and mussel were good.

Came here last Friday with a group of friends and honestly it exceeded every expectation we had. The duck confit was perfectly cooked, fall-off-the-bone tender with this gorgeous crispy skin that had us all stealing bites off each other's plates. Our server was attentive without being overbearing, kept the wine flowing and knew the menu inside out when we asked for recommendations. If you're looking for a spot in Halifax that feels special without being stuffy, Agricola Street Brasserie is the one to book.
