About this place Old Town Books
Old Town Books is an independent bookshop at 130 South Royal Street, a block off King Street. It is a general bookstore, not an LGBTQ+ shop, but it runs a free monthly Queer Book Club; the October 2026 meeting was on Thursday 8 October, 7 to 8pm, and dates are posted on Eventbrite and the shop's site.
The club is one of the few recurring queer meetups that actually takes place inside Alexandria, so check the calendar if you are in town for a few days.
