About this place Central Alabama Pride
Central Alabama Pride, founded in 1978, is the nonprofit behind Birmingham Pride — one of the oldest continuously running Pride organizations in the South. Each June it stages Pride Week, a parade through the Lakeview District and the free PrideFest festival at Linn Park downtown, drawing thousands from across the state.
